Google’s Glass Explorer Programme has finally made its way to the UK, allowing developers and pure tech geeks to get their hands on the project before it launches to the public.

Ivy Ross, head of Glass said: “Technology is at its best when it fits seamlessly into our lives and lets us get on with whatever we’re doing. Our goal for Glass is exactly that – to make it easier to bring people the technology they rely on without drawing them out of the moment.”

The catch? You need to be 18 years old and you need to have a minimum of £1,000 ready to join the programme, and be happy with the feeling that once the end product is launched, it will be launched for a much lower fee, with a product that is much better overall.

However this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, so to some it might be completely worth it.

And if you’re not quite sure, you can request a demo of Google Glass in London this Friday and Saturday at Basecamp.
