GoPro has today revealed that pre-orders are now available for their new VR camera, the GoPro Omni, which is available to pre-order from today for $5,000 as the kit.

The GoPro Omni VR, is a camera kit that features a total of six GoPro HERO4 Black cameras, all of which have been put into an array and synchronised via a processing unit at the centre of the Omni cube.


With this, you can create full 360 degree still images and video, which can then be viewed on virtual reality headset like the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive after.

Alongside the launch of the GoPro Omni, GoPro also revealed the launch of its new VR application called GoPro VR, which allows users to share 360 degree videos on iOS and Android.
