The closed beta for the new Hitman game will kick off on February 12th, 2016 on the PS4, and on February 19th, 2016 on the PC.

This is news that was announced by the game’s developer IO Interactive, who also confirmed that the beta will not be making its way to the Xbox One.

The closed beta will only guarantee access to those who have already pre-ordered the game, however we don’t know if they will or won’t allow other players to join the beta too.

Within the beta you will be able to play within a brand new map that is set in the top-secret ICA training facility, set 20 years in the past and exploring the origins of Agent 47’s recruitment, whilst revealing the moment that 47 meets his handler Diana Burnwood for the first time.

Hitman launches digitally on PS4, Xbox One and PC on March 11, 2016, with additional contracts and locations rolling out during April, May and June.

The PS4 version of the final game will also receive six exclusive contracts.
