Wi-Fi can be a tricky thing to find when on the go, especially if you are traveling by train, with only a select few stations providing access to Wi-Fi, it can be hard to keep up to date with the news, or keep yourself interested whilst you wait for that last train.

Thankfully things are developing in the London Underground and it has today been confirmed that Wi-Fi is now available at an additional 100 stations across the network, bringing the total number of Wi-Fi enabled stations up to 250.

And because it has been done via a partnership with Virgin Media the service is high-speed too, offering speeds of 100Mbps. That’s important as TfL says that 20TB of data is used every day on the station, so a good speed is important to make sure everyone gets enough to access the internet.

To access it you do have to register for the service with your mobile operator, but once you have it will be free to anyone who isn’t a visitor, to people who are Virgin Media will be offering pay-as-you-go access.
