Microsoft has today announced its plans to launch the new Windows 10 inspired UI for the Xbox One for some users in the Xbox One preview program.

The new UI will start rolling out to opted in users from this month.

Because the UI is such a revision Microsoft isn’t assuming that everyone will want to risk the upgrade, as such they will be sending a message to preview program members to let them opt-in for testing.

Users who have provided the most feedback will get messages first, after which they will send it out to other members slowly ahead of its public launch in November.

During which time the “New Xbox One Experience” will get a number of builds pushed out to members.

The new update will not only add a new UI but also backward compatibility for all, with an improved OneGuide and improved usability of their storefront.
