Ryan Schneider the Chief Brand Officer at Insomniac Games has this week announced details for the new Ratchet and Clank movie.

In particular he announced a release date, revealing that the movie will be shown in theatres across the US from April 29th, 2016.

First launched over 13 years ago, Ratchet and Clank is one of the biggest games to ever hit the PlayStation, and is soon to get even bigger as not only will there be a movie, but Insomniac Games are also working on a new Ratchet and Clank game for the PlayStation 4, which is set to be released in Spring 2016 alongside the movie, and will re-tell the origin of Ratchet and Clank.

The movie will include the following cast members as voice actors:

• Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe winner Paul Giamatti as Chairman Drek
• Golden Globe winner John Goodman as Ratchet’s mechanic mentor Grimroth
• Young Artist Award winner Bella Thorne as Galactic Ranger Cora
• Rosario Dawson as Galactic Ranger support team member Elaris
• Academy Award nominee Sylvester Stallone as Victor Von Ion, Chairman Drek’s villainous lieutenant
