Earlier this month, Samsung announced the launch of their Samsung Pay service in the UK, but they only launched it for a number of their smartphones, leaving the smartwatches out.
Today they changed that with the release of the mobile payment system for the Samsung Gear S3 and the Gear S2.
Anyone who has one of these devices in the UK will be able to make payments through Samsung Pay on one of these smartwatches today.
It does this via the MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission) and the NFC technology inside of the Gear S3, however, the Gear S2 does not have MST technology and so Samsung Pay only works with NFC on that device.
That said, MST isn’t currently available in the UK.
To use it, simply add you support credit card through the mobile app for the smartwatch.
