Quite some time ago, Microsoft announced the launch of their next games console, the Xbox One S.

However, they did not reveal the release date for that console when they unveiled it, leaving that crucial announcement to this week. Thankfully Microsoft has this week confirmed that the console will be released on August 2nd, 2016.

When it launches you will be able to grab the 40 percent smaller console from stores worldwide, with 2TB, 1TB and 500GB storage options available.

The console also comes with the ability to play Blu-ray movies and stream video in 4K Ultra HD quality with HDR.
