Three has today begun their 4G rollout to their customers in the UK for free, kicking off this week customers with a compatible handsets will be able to access 4G data speeds in London, Birmingham and Manchester starting from today, with no extra charge in the UK.

However not all customers will be upgraded this month, with the full rollout taking a few months, Three have promised that all customers will be able to access the new speed by the end of March 2014.

During which time the carrier will be added various cities to the list of compatibility, with Reading being added later this month and another 50 cities by the end of 2014, including Aberdeen, Bolton, Cardiff, Coventry, Brighton, Edinburgh, Liverpool and Newcastle.
