The American-based watchmaker Timex announced the launch of a new fitness tracker.

Called the Timex IQ+ Move, it is a smart fitness tracker that features a design that you will mistake for a regular analogue watch. It has been designed to carry out a number of basic tracking functions that include the amount of distance that you have travelled, the number of steps that you have taken, the calories that you have burned, and the quality of your sleep.

But it does have some smart features on top of that, with the capability of connecting to your smartphone over Bluetooth and then sending the data that the smart fitness tracker has collected to a companion app.

The IQ+ Move will be able to automatically sync data at up to four set times throughout the day, however, you can also simply glance at the sub-dial on the tracker to see data, but the app will provide you with more information than what the dial can.

It is also capable of notifying you of incoming messages, calls, and social media alerts.

There will be a number of versions of the tracker, designed for both men and women, it will be available in 41mm and 37mm sizes, both of which come with a real leather strap but also have the option of swapping that the silicone on if you want to.

Both models are also waterproof in up to 50 metres of what, but leather isn’t obviously.

It is currently only available in the US for $150, however, it will be available in the UK from February 2017.
