Ubisoft has today announced that Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege will launch on October 12th, 2015.

Using Ubisoft’s new AnvilNext game engine, making it the first game in the Rainbow Six franchise to use its own game engine, and not Epic’s Unreal Engine.

Alongside the release date information, Rouge Spear also released the following trailer.

“Like other titles in the series, it will focus heavily on teamplay and realism. However, there are major differences to older versions of the game, featuring a heavy multiplayer focus and destructible environments, similar to that of Battlefield franchise

Selecting one of 20 Operators will be an important choice for all Rainbow Six Siege players. Will you focus on jamming the opposing squad’s communications? Or will you favor the ever-reliable bulletproof barricade? Will a ranged breach launcher be more useful to you than a sledgehammer? Every choice contributes to your team in different ways, and you can discover the possibilities when Rainbow Six Siege hits stores on October 13, 2015.”
