TomTom have finally launched their Android application onto the Google Play Store, available in both the US & Canada version as well as the European one.

However the Western European version will set you back £39.99, which is a bit of a stretch for an application in a lot of people’s minds, however the app does offer a lot of features that make it worth while.

Like the iOS app, within the Android version you can access TomTom’s IQ Routes as well as the HD Traffic that you can pay for via an in-app purchase.

The application is 2.7GBs in total, and will allow users to view maps on the go without incurring data charges, as the app uses GPS, just make sure you’re downloading the right one as there are a selection of fake apps also available for download.
