Owners of the TomTom fitness tracker might be happy to know that a new app for the fitness tracker was revealed at CES 2017 this week.

The new exercise app has been designed to work alongside TomTom’s range of wearables, it has been named the TomTom Sports app and will allow users to view their statistics and workout data, while providing insights about their fitness as well as motivation to keep it going.

You can also track changes to your body composition as well as you resting heart rate, right from the app.

There is also a range of social sharing capabilities in the app that allows users to share data about their workouts easily, with six tracking modes available for different activities, including running, cycling, swimming, skiing, trail running, and hiking.

It can also connect to other apps on your smartphone such as Strava, Runkeeper, and MapMyFitness.

TomTom says that the Sports app will be available bu the end of January on both iOS and Android.

When it launches, it will be compatible with the TomTom Spark, TomTom Runner, TomTom Touch, TomTom Adventurer, and the TomTom Multi-sport.
