At their CES 2014 press conference Toshiba today announced their very first Chromebook, titled the Toshiba Chromebook it features a 13.3 inch 1366 x768 pixel resolution with an Intel Celeron ULT “Bay Trail” processor, a 20.2mm thin body, 1.5kg weight, Chrome OS pre-installed, a HD webcam, stereo speakers and a full-sized keyboard.

There’s also a HDMI port for connecting an external monitor or TV, as well as two USB 3.0 ports, an SD card slot, 2GB of RAM, a 16GB SSD, 100GB of free cloud storage, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0 and a battery life of up to 9 hours.

Toshiba say that the Toshiba Chromebook will be available in February for £249 in the UK, in a “light gold” design. It’s also worth noting that they also mentioned they plan to introduce more Chromebooks in varying sizes.
