There isn’t many Ultrabooks around with a decent display, and Toshiba are trying to change that with the release of their new Kirabook, to be added to its Kira premium range, the 13.3 inch Ultrabook has a Retina like resolution at 2560×1440, with a 221ppi.

The device will also run Windows 8 with an Intel Core i5 processor, 256GB SSD and 8GB of memory, as well as speakers from Harman Kardon, and an LED backlit keyboard.

There’s even the option to add a touchscreen to the device, with a non-touch display costing $1,599 and the model with a touchscreen for $1,799, you can even add both a touchscreen and a Core i7 processor $1,999.

The Kiabook will only weigh 2.6 pounds, which is extremely impressive since the 13 inch MacBook Air weighs in at 2.96 pounds.

The device will also include a HDMI output and will be available to pre-order from May 3rd.
