Toshiba has today announced a new wireless SSD device that has been dubbed the Canvio AeroMobile, allowing users to wirelessly store content on an external drive, to do so it users its own Wi-Fi network that will allow the user to connect up to 8 devices at the same time, each of which can stream content or backup your photos and other content.

Users can also access the storage from the included app for Android or iOS, allowing them to browse, save and view files from the drive on the go. The drive is also compatible with the Mac and Windows.

To content to Mac’s and PCs it uses a USB 3.0 connection.

The drive also has its own SD card slot to back up data from other devices like camera.

There’s also a rechargeable internal battery that is said to last up to 8 hours whilst streaming video.

The Toshiba Canvio AeroMovile wireless SSD is now available for £119.
