Toshiba has today unveiled a couple of new tablets, both aimed at two different audiences, the first is a budget Windows tablet called the Toshiba Encore 2, featuring the Windows 8.1 OS, with an 8/ 10.1 inch display that has a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution.
The tablet also features an Intel Atom processor, with 64GB of in-built storage and support for microSD cards with support for up 128GB of storage.
On the front of the Encore 2 features a HD capable front-facing camera, and on the back there’s a 5 megapixel camera.
There will also be a year of Office 360 pre-installed on the tablet for free.
The Encore 2 will be available from July, priced at $199.99 for the 8 inch model and $269.99 for the 10 inch model.
The second tablet has been dubbed the Toshiba Excite Go, an Android based tablet, it comes with Android 4.4 KitKat pre-installed, with a 7 inch display that has a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution, alongside a quad-core Intel Atom processor and 1GB of RAM.
There’s also 16GB of internal storage, with a microSD card slot for an extra 128GB of storage.
The Toshiba Excite Go tablet will be available in the US in July for $109.99
