Toshiba have been busy today, they have literally taken up most of our homepage already, and then there’s still more to come ass they have just introduced a brand new laptop range as well as announcing the refresh to two of their previous models.

Let’s start with the brand new range, dubbed the Toshiba Satellite S series, the all new range is available with either a 15.6 inch or a 17.3 inch flat HD or flat Full HD widescreen LED display, which can even be upgraded with touchscreen capabilities.

Alongside which you can also choose from a range of dual and quad-core processors, including the next-gen Haswell chipsets, and it that isn’t enough options, you also get the choice of what GPU you want, ranging all the way up to Nvidia’s 2GB GeForce GT 740M with Optimus technology.

Storage is also a choice of either a 1TB HDD or a 1TB HDD with an 8GB SSD on top, but that’s where the choices end.

As standard the S series laptops will include one USB 2.0 port and two USB 3.0 ports, a HDMI out port and Stereo Onky speakers with DTS Studio Sound.

Bluetooth 4.0 is an option, and you will have to choose whether you want a DVD, Blu-Ray drive or no optical disc drive at all, however the OS is fixed to a 64-bit version of Windows 8.

The C series will also come in two screen sizes, either 15.6 or 17.3 inches, with the option to upgrade to a touchscreen model, however only the third-gen Intel processor will be available for the C series and there is no option for the hybrid HDD/ SDD drive.

It will however be available in multiple colour schemes.

As for the L Series, that has simply been updated with the screen sizes (as well as a new 14.1 inch screen size), alongside the Haswell processor, but apart from that it has been left unchanged.

The new laptops will be available from Toshiba starting as low as £299.
