Alongside their announcement of the Tecra W50, Toshiba has today announced an updated version of the Portege R30 ultraportable laptop, now featuring new fourth-generation Intel Core M processor, which promise to keep battery life unaffected whilst providing the top voltage available.

The R30 laptop also includes the same integrated DVD drive, and the laptop is only 1 inch thick and weighs only 3.2 pounds, as well as including up to 16GB of RAM and up to 750GB of storage, or a 512GB SSD.

Designed with Intel vPro technology and featuring a Trusted Platform Module, the R30 also has an integrated fingerprint reader with a 13 inch screen, three USB 3.0 ports, a full size HDMI output, a memory card reader and USB 3.0 Sleep & Charge technology.

The new Toshiba Portege R30 Ultrabook will be available at the end of November for a yet to be announced price.
