Transcend has launched a new range of solid state drives (SSDs) today, called the Transcend SSD230, it will soon be available to purchase from Transcend’s website and a number of other retailers in a range of capacities.

It will be available with 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB with a three-year warranty.

These new SSDs will also come equipped with a DDR3 DRAM cache, which is capable of taking full advantage of the SATA III 6Gb/s interface.

It also has built-in SLC caching, and possibly more interesting, is the 3D NAND Flash Technology, which offers more capacity, performance, and endurance.

The Transcend SSD230 storage drives will be capable of achieving maximum speeds of up to 560MB/s for read and 520 MB/s for write.

Transcend has not yet revealed any information on pricing or worldwide availability but as soon as we hear more, we will let you know.
