After a very long beta test, the UKTV streaming service, TV Catchup is finally available for download on the Google Play Store, and will allow license fee-payers within the UK to watch live streams from a wide selection of free-to-air TV channels, which there is currently about 50.

In order to download the app you will need to be a resident in the UK, as the streams will not work if you are not connected to a UK ISP or mobile network, you will also of course need a TV License and have a phone or tablet running Android 2.2 or above.
