Lately, Twitter has been working on getting more user retention, with a number of ways to get more people on the service and keep them using it for some time.

In an effort to do that, they have signed a deal to stream The Game Awards live when they return on December 1st at 8:30PM Eastern (December 2nd 00:30AM BST).

They will stream the ceremony and the rest of the awards on both the Twitter website and through its official mobile apps, whether or not you’re logged in or not.

This is more of a test for Twitter, it’s Twitter’s building block to live streaming much more events such as live sports and political events, and given that Twitter is normally the place to go for live news, so it should be the place to go for live events too.
