On Wednesday, THQ announced that they had filed for a Capter 11 bankruptcy and after securing an investment from the private equity firm Clearlake Capital Group who will be buying out THQs assets and providing the developer with the money they need to finish projects they are currently working on.

However Clearlake are not the only company in the running according to sources from MCVs sources, Ubisoft are also interested in a  “bargain buy, and is prepared to hold-out until THQ is forced to sell off specific assets.”

The two truly epic game developers joining forces is certainly something that could be interesting, with titles from the two being some of the biggest titles available today.

What do you think?
