The UK government has had Twitter for a long time now, but it might be about to get a little bigger after they announced that they will be offering journalists something they are calling,  “Twitter exclusives”. Which is course so they can look a little more tech savvy.

Anthony Simon, head of digital communications, Prime Minister’s office said that this is due to the “Increasing numbers of people are on Twitter – journalists, stakeholders and professional groups – and to be part of that conversation is vital for any government department.”

This will also be in an effort the prevent negative stories from spreading around the web, and of course true and boost votes for the 2015 elections.

What do you think about the UK government becoming more tech savvy?
