The UK House of Lords’ Communications Committee meant up yesterday to talk about re-building the country’s infrastructure, during which they suggested that all broadcast TV should be moved to the internet to free up the wireless spectrum for cellphones, particularly 4G which is on ever British tech heads mind right now,

As the digital switchover is still a go, this transition is of course still a proposal, but if it turns out to be more than that you could see the end of satellite and ariel based TV. To be honest I don’t know if I would personally welcome this transition, as I don’t know about the House of Lords’ but my internet is immensely rubbish and I’m not sure it could handle TV streams for the whole day.
