In order to accelerate to launch of 4G services on their networks, EE, O2, Three and Vodafone have teamed up in order to form a new company named the Digital Mobile Spectrum Limited which will be responsible for ensuring Freeview customers continue to receive a great TV signal after the 4G network is rolled out onto the 800MHz spectrum scheduled to start in spring next year.

This means the launch of these 4G services can be accelerated, allowing all of the carriers to gain access to the new super-fast network, alongside EE who were granted to launch the service early.

But it’s not that easy as the networks will still have to fight over the spectrum at the upcoming auction for the 800MHz signal.
