During CES 2015 Ultimate Ears have announced a new mobile speaker, called the UE MegaBoom it is basically a larger version of the UE Boom.

In terms of specs, the new speaker features including 360 degree sound, support for free apps that are available on both Android and iOS as well as an IPX7 rating that means it is also water resistance.

Ultimate Ears also says that the speaker can pump out sound with brilliant amounts of bass.

The speaker also uses a stain-resistant acoustic skin with a durable grab-and-go design, the UE Megaboom only weighs just 2 pounds and features a 20-hour rechargeable battery life.

The speaker also features a highly impressive 100 foot wireless Bluetooth range, and can even allow users to wirelessly connect to another UE Megaboom or even a UE Boom.
“People want their music wherever they go, and to be part of everything they do,” said Rory Dooley, general manager of Ultimate Ears. “That’s why we designed UE MEGABOOM to be strong enough to withstand your life and your adventures, and allow you to share the magic of music wherever you go.”

As of yet we have yet to hear worldwide availability for the speaker, but we do know that the UE Megaboom will go on sale in the US later this month and will retail for $299.99.
