The PS Vita launched in the US and Europe only 5 months ago and already the device is becoming one of the top handheld consoles around, despite its lack of available titles.

The amount of titles is about to change however as with the 1.80 firmware update the PS Vita will be getting access to Sony’s PS One titles through he PlayStation Store. With over 700 titles to choose from you defiantly will be spoiled for choose when the update hits.

Alongside the PS Vita update, Sony will also be launching one for the PlayStation 3 which will add the ability to download PlayStation 2 titles, which was once a feature of the PS3 in the form of hard disks but was removed in a later update to the console.

The update will be rolling out next week in Japan, but there is no word on any other countries just yet.
