An interesting bike was launched on Kickstarter today to make bikes much cheaper and much more environmentally friendly.

Called the Urban GC1, it is a bike that has been made out of recycled paper using something called the GC Panel by Greencode, which is a special recycled paper panel that has been designed to provide you with the strength needed for a bike to function.

Elsewhere, the urban GC1 uses a mix of rubber, recycled plastic and some more of recycled paper and metal. They say that this means that the bike is extremely renewable, upgradable, and fixable, allowing you to simply swap out elements with little cost. On top of that, the tires don’t use air, so no flats.
