One new service that may seem interesting to some of you is Valve’s new Steam Family Sharing Service, which has today gone live in the beta stage, allowing friends and family members to share and play each others games.

Within the service users earn their own Steam achievements and can save their own game progress to the Steam cloud for accessing at a later date.

The service is available to use from today, and Valve says that all a lender must do (after registering for the beta) is to authorise the computer they wish to lend a game to, after which the lenders library of Steam games will be available to access, download and play by the lendee.
