We have seen a number of smart doorbells over time that hope to make the process of opening a door and knowing who is in front of it easier and today we have one more for you.
Called VEIU, it was launched by Eques on the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform, where they have already raised well over their goal of $30,000, with over $79,000 in funding from 500 backers at the time of writing.
To get in on that action, you can grab a pre-order of the device with a pledge from $149.
They expect to ship it out at some point during July 2017, offering what they claim to be the “world’s smartest video doorbell” with a 720p 180-degree night vision camera and a button on the main unit that allows you to see your visitors without opening the door, with the doorbell function that you would expect.
It connects to a separate 5-inch touchscreen wireless LCD monitor that lasts for up to 2 months according to the creators and features 2GB of internal memory.
You can also connect it to a companion application that allows you to receive alerts, listen to audio from the camera, speak to your visitor from the app and watch live video from the camera.
