Twitter has finally announced that Vine is now available on the Android platform, offering all the same features offered in the iOS version that has been available for iPhone users, since it launched a few months ago.

Some of the updates made to the iOS version will take a little longer to be implemented in the Android version however, and Twitter says that the two apps will be synced up soon.

These features include the front-facing camera support, hashtag support, ability to search, access mentions or share to Facebook, all of which Twitter says will take weeks not months to implement.

You can download the Vine app from the Google Play Store today.
