Virgin Media has today launched a new storage service called Virgin Media Cloud, a new storage solution that has been developed by Virgin Media themselves for its broadband customers.

Developed in a new partnership with F-Secure, which is a third-party film that specialises in digital security and alls Virgin Media to provide the entire service, as well as back up and store content from multiple devices.

Virgin Media will be offering the service to broadband customers to grab 5GB of free storage, allowing up to 10 people in a connected household to get their own account, which can be increased in one of four monthly packages, 50GB for £3.99 a month, 100GB for £5.99 a month, and 500GB for £26.99 a month.

Virgin Media will also be offering customers 100GB for free until May 31st, at which time a charge will kick in.

You can use Virgin Media Cloud on a PC or Mac, as well as on Android 2.1 and above, on a iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch that’s on iOS 5 or above, or on a Windows Phone 8 device, and any desktop browser.
