During the Olympics Virgin Media offered a free Wi-Fi service available to anyone traveling through the London Underground, during which time the service has been used to send over one million tweets, Facebook posts, emails and used to view web pages.

The service which is already available in over 72 underground stations within their ticket halls and platforms have granted over 661,000 people access to the internet completely free, but that’s not the best part as Virgin Media announced earlier today that the service will now remain free for everyone until the end of 2012.

You can access the service for free within those stations, which will launch in more stations throughout the year.
