Vodafone has today announced by email that they will be launching a new tablet called the Vodafone Smart Tab 4, which will be available on pay as you go for £125, or for £29 up front on a £20 a month contact that comes with 2GB of data included.

For that you get a device with an 8 inch WXGA TFT display with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution.

Inside there’s also a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of in built storage. The device will also run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean at launch, but Vodafone did mention that they plan to release an Android 4.4 Kit Kat update in the future.

“Its super slim and compact design makes the Vodafone Smart Tab 4 a great value 3G tablet for portable use, so you’re always connected while out and about with immediate access to news, videos, emails and entertainment,” the company said in its press statement.
