Earlier today Three UK released their Ice Cream Sandwich for Samsung’s Galaxy S II Smartphone, and it now seems Vodaphone UK have decided to jump on the bandwagon, with a new update said to optimise the smartphone for a upcoming Andriod 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update on the 19th of March.

The Android 4.0 upgrade for GALAXY S II smartphones running on the Vodafone UK network is currently under test to make sure that we provide the highest level of final software.

As soon as the tests are completed we will upload the software to the update servers as quickly as possible.

Today’s update will hold no visible improvements or new features just yet as it is just a prep update, but if you are planning to install ICS when it’s released, it’s probably better if you go ahead with the update anyway. However with the update still in testing for Vodaphone’s network, it could be a while.

What do you think? Have you noticed anything different in the new update?
