In a blog post, which was of course pulled soon after, Vodaphone UK confirmed that it has 500,000 nano SIMs ready to roll out, which of course is for the new iPhone 5.

Pocket-Lint where the first to report the story, claiming they said the following in the post:

“They’re so slim and tiny you might only be able to handle them with tweezers – but imagine the extra space the new nano-SIM card frees up inside your handset, the first devices have now been announced – and Vodafone has now got 500,000 of the new 12.3 mm x 8.8 mm nano-SIMs in stock.”

I am presuming that by “the first devices have been announced” means that this post was in fact supposed to go up tomorrow after the iPhone 5’s official launch, the SIMs themselves have been cut to a much smaller shape than that of a normal SIM, 40 percent less to be precise.

But as always, we know nothing official until tomorrow’s announcement, make sure to hit up our liveblog for all the news as it happens.
