A lot of iOS owners dream of Face-timing their contacts over a more portable 3G network, but so far they have been tethered to video calling over Wi-Fi networks.

But it might just be coming in iOS 6 after an iOS snooper spotted that if you try to disable your 3G network during a Facetime call you will receive a message saying, “Disabling 3G may end FaceTime,” instead of reading “Are you sure you want to disable 3G?”.

But that isn’t the only new message as you also get another one if you run a call over Wi-Fi, then disabling and re-enabling your 3G connection you will find this message, “Enabling 3G will end your phone call. Are you sure you want to enable 3G?”

Do you think this is a hint at Facetime Over 3G capabilities? Will Apple ever bring 3G capabilities to iOS?
