If you are one of the many people patiently waiting for the release of Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs, then you might be happy to know that the game could be released as soon as June 20th 2013, as revealed by the Sony Store earlier this week.

Originally stated for a delayed 2014 release, Watch Dogs is an open world action/ adventure video game being developed by Ubisoft Montreal, and eventually published by Ubisoft themselves, and was originally expected to be released alongside the PlayStation4 and Xbox as one of biggest titles to hit both systems.

“The storyline of Watch Dogs game is built around the concept of information warfare, data being interconnected, and the world’s increasing use of technology—questioning who exactly runs the computers they depend on.

The game is set in an alternate reality version of Chicago, Illinois, which is one of many cities to feature a supercomputer known as a “CtOS” (Central Operating System). The system controls almost every piece of technology in the city, and contains information on all of the city’s residents and activities which can be used for various purposes”

As well as slipping the release date for the game, the Sony Store also revealed a price tag, stating it to be released for $59.99.

As of yet however, these could just be placeholders whilst they wait for a release, and nothing has been revealed officially yet.
