Western Digital has today announced a new addition to its Pro range of hard drives.

These new drives include the new My Passport Wireless Pro The My Passport Wireless Pro is particularly interesting, allowing users to store files on the drive in a similar way to the My passport, but also over a Wi-Fi connection.

You can use it to save, edit and transfer work to and from the device with up to eight other devices, without having to tether the drive to a laptop, or even bring your laptop with you.

It can also be used to automatically backup files and features WiFi Direct technology alongside a USB 2.0 port and a built-in SD card reader.

It also features a 10-hour battery life according to Western Digital, with a built-in battery pack that can be used to charge other external devices.

The My Passport Wireless Pro will be available in capacities up to 3TB, with prices starting at $229.99.
