WhatsApp has today announced that their messaging platform is now available to use through the web using the Google Chrome browser.

To use the app you do need to have Google Chrome installed on your PC or Mac, as well as have the app connected to your WhatsApp client, after which you can send messages to Android, BlackBerry, Nokia, and Windows Phone devices, however at the momentApple devices are not supported.

To connect your web browser to your WhatsApp client simply head over to https://web.whatsapp.com in your Google Chrome web browser, then simply scan the QR code that is shown on the page inside of your WhatsApp client and you are paired.

Your phone does however need to stay connected to the internet for the web client to work, and you need the latest version of WhatsApp on your phone.
