An anonymous tech engineer at NASA has done something we have all thought about, laser-engraving an image of Portal 2’s Wheatley with the quote “In spaaaaaaace!” onto a Japanese HTV-3 resupply craft to the ISS.

The spacecraft will launch on Friday, July 27th 9:15AM EST (which is about 2:15PM here in the UK), alongside it will be Wheatley to which NASA have said:

“NASA in no way officially endorses secretly laser-engraving characters from Portal onto their spacecraft,”

Of course the Portal 2 team responded on their blog, “Believe it or not, they don’t even officially endorsePortal 2, despite the fact that it’s a really excellent game.”
