Winphollowers has just posted the first screenshot of the notification centre for Windows 8.1, leaked in the form of a confidential email sent at Microsoft, the screenshot shows the notification centre the name “Action Center”, mimicking actions that can be found on Android and iOS.

Basically the Action Center will show all of the notifications that they might have missed, as well as allow the user to change settings for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Airplane Mode and Driving Mode.

There will also be a button to access all of the settings for the center and change which notifications come through the Action Center.

According to rumours, Action Center will launch with Windows Phone 8.1 at the Microsoft BUILD conference on April 2nd in San Francisco, where we will likely also see changes to multitasking and the integration of a Siri like personal assistant, reportedly called “Cortana”.
