Normally a tear-down is the work of the guys over at iFixIt, however ahead of the launch of the PlayStation 4 Wired have been given the opportunity to take a look at some of the inner workings for the next-generation console, even before the team at iFixIt.

With their tear-down iFixIt posted a number of photos that were provided by Sony from its headquarters, revealing the consoles 8-core AMD Jaguar processor, 8GB of GDDR5 RAM, AMD Radeon GPU and 500GB hard drive, alongside 2 USB 3.0 ports, 1 AUX port, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and a HDMI port.

Alongside which, the tear-down also noted that in the box you will find a Wireless DualShock 4 controller, 1 Mono headset, an AC power cord, HDMI cable and a USB cable.
