Since Apple purchased Beats may have thought that they would not be too interested in the hardware side of the business, however Apple is all about breaking preconceptions, this week launched the new Beats Powerbeats 2 earphones designed to work perfectly with the Apple Watch.

The reason for this is because they are completely wireless and are come in the exact same colour options as the Apple Watch Sport, including black, white, green, blue and red.

Aside from that they are pretty much the same as the original Powerbeats 2, which are also still available from the Apple Online Store.

The headphones use Bluetooth connectivity to pair with the Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad and other Bluetooth-equipped devices.

Apple also promises a 6 hour battery life with a 30-foot range and IPX4 certification for sweat and water resistance, alongside an in-line remote and microphone and a hard-shell carrying case.

The new set of PowerBeats 2 earphones are available from the Apple Online Store for $199.95 in the US or £169.95 in the UK, or from the Apple Retail Store itself.
