After a number of months of waiting, Microsoft has finally released a version of the Xbox One controller for the PC, allowing gamers to play PC games with an upgraded controller.

The Xbox One Controller + Cable for Windows will be available from November and will be compatible with both Windows 7 and Windows 8 (presumably Windows 9 too when it is released), it will however also require a cabled connection to the PC via a PC.

Thankfully, the controller will still work without a cable for the Xbox One itself, meaning you can use it wired or wireless with the Xbox One console.

Microsoft say that all this means that they now have the “best PC controller” that the company has ever produced, and it all comes from the culmination of over 200 prototypes according to the company.

The controller and cable is currently available online from the Microsoft Store and from various retailers for $59.95 in the US, however it is likely that it should hit other regions soon too.

Microsoft says that you will need 150MB of storage to install its software, and a minimum of a 300MHz processor and 128MB of RAM to install it, but that shouldn’t be a problem for most users that are living in the 21st century.
