Today Microsoft announced the launch of a new program to reward those who play on the Xbox One, particularly those who spend money on free-to-play Xbox games.

This has been dubbed FREEdom Rewards and has been launched as part of the Xbox Live Rewards scheme, which rewards players with a certain amount of points for spending on the Xbox Store and completing other tasks on the system.

Gamers can then spend those Rewards credits on anything in the Xbox Store.

With FREEdom Rewards you have a new way to gain points.

If you spend at least £18/$30 in a single free-to-play game in a month, you will earn 2,000 Rewards credits. You can also earn more points by spending at least £3/$5 on a free-to-play game over the course of three months on a free-to-play game, you will get 2,000 Rewards credits.

Finally, if you spend at least £3/$5 on microtransactions for three different games, you will earn 3,000 Rewards credits, every month that you do that.

This will work with a number of free-to-play games including, World of Tanks, Warframe, Star Trek Online, and more.

You can find out more about this new scheme at the source link below, where you can also sign up for Xbox Live Rewards.
