Microsoft’s Larry Hryb (Major Nelson) revealed some new features that are soon to launch on the Xbox One’s preview update on the Xbox Preview Forums, with a range of new features that gamers are sure to be excited for.
Major Nelson didn’t reveal when this update will be released, and the post is private to those who are subscribed to the Xbox Preview, however, one Redditor did take some screenshots of the post for all to see.
Here are all of the features.
Clubs on Xbox Live:
“Clubs are gamer-created and managed groups that can help you meet people and grow communities.”
Club members will be able to chat, set up parties, play games and share content with other Club members on the Xbox One and Xbox App devices.
Note: No two club names can be the same, it’s first come, first serve.
Looking for Group (LFG) on Xbox Live:
LFG will work with any title on Xbox Live that has a game hub and will help you find other players to help you out in a game or simply play a game with you. When creating a LFG post you will be able to specify requirements, like which game, the game mode, how many people you need, establish rules (like no trash talking) or in-game requirements like level, gear or character type.
Improved Gamerscore Leaderboard:
The Leaderboard will now reset at the beginning of the month and only display stats for that month.
Emojis for you Xbox One virtual keyboard:
Self-explanatory. Emojis will appear when you pull the right trigger while in the virtual keyboard.
