Xiaomi has this week released a new Android TV box.

The box from Xiaomi has been named the Xiaomi Mi and is a set-top box that can provide access to content at a 4K Ultra HD resolution, it has been designed specifically for the US market in mind.

The Xiaomi Mi box comes equipped with a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor and is backed up by 2GB of RAM, with 8GB of inbuilt storage.

It also has Mali-450 graphics inside, with support for Dolby Digital Plus and DTS surround sound.

There’s also a USB port of the box, which can be used to expand to storage further if you wish, and it will also come equipped with both Bluetooth and 802.11ac WiFi connectivity.

The Mi will also support the Mi Game Controller which has a 3-axis G sensor for motion controls, with dual vibration motors inbuilt.

No information on pricing or worldwide availability has been announced by Xiaomi as of yet.
