During their Nintendo Direct vidcast, Nintendo today confirmed that they are currently in works to release an “all new Zelda” for the new Wii U console, which is not exactly an unexpected move but is certainly exciting, there’s no release date yet however Nintendo did reveal that it would take “some time to complete.”

Eiji Aonuma, the producer of the Legend of Zelda did however reveal a few details for title, explaining that the title won’t have a linear storyline like previous games but will include a more open and immersive experience, it also won’t be a single player only title, and there will be multiplayer options available at lunch.

As I mentioned before there’s no release date yet, but in the meantime the company will release their HD version of Zelda: Wind Waker.
